Our Story, From Then to Now 

Here are the key historical events of Nachman Norwood & Parrott.

  • 1993: Bob Nachman and John Parrott, experienced Greenville financial advisors, open the Greenville office of Wheat First Butcher Singer, a regional investment firm.
  • 1997: Wheat First Butcher Singer is acquired by First Union Bank. Bob Nachman and Ben Norwood form Nachman and Norwood Investment Group of Wheat First Union.
  • 2002: Wachovia Corporation and First Union Corporation agree to merge. John Parrott joins Bob Nachman and Ben Norwood to form Nachman Norwood & Parrott Investment Group of Wachovia Securities.
  • 2005: Gary Davis joins Nachman Norwood & Parrott as a partner.
  • 2007: Nachman Norwood & Parrott becomes fully independent, owned by the four partners while utilizing Wachovia Securities Financial Network* as broker-dealer.
  • 2009: Michael L. Helms, Al Cannon and Andy Byrd join Nachman Norwood & Parrott as partners.
